It was another fun and crazy Frist Friday Artwalk last night. Thanks to Damsels in Distress for keeping us entertained throughout the evening. They were great!
So on to the contest. What is the frame made from?
Rubber. Yes, it’s a bouncy, no-break frame. Who would have thought to make a rubber frame? Someone did and someone guessed right. Daniel just glanced at the frame and came up with the right answer. Way to go Daniel! Ok, we’ll mention that our brilliant landlord guessed right, but he doesn’t count since he didn’t write it down.
Some of you had some really great ideas though and we’d like to mention them:
Tara said bat guano. That’s great but what a hard thing to sell!
Erin was thinking along the same line and said manure.
Michelle thought it was recycled dryer lint. Very cool idea! That’s worth some research.
Bob was thinking overtime. He came up with cornstarch. Wow.
Alysha thought it was a street light pole. Great idea!
Dean got very technical on us and said anthracite. (It’s a stone.)
Steve’s mind was on something else. He guessed recycled Stag Beer cans. Cool.
Both David and Jo came up with wax. Great, creative thinking. That would work!
Nic was coming from somewhere strange as he thought it was camel’s tooth. Ok. We’re not sure what to think of that one.
Chad came up with the idea it was blueberries. Very cool We love blueberries. But, if it were made from them, it would have been eaten a long time ago.
Micah took the sign very literally and said the frame was made from commodified labor power. We don’t know who made the frame or where it came from so we’re not sure about that. We’ll have to take that up with Micah later.
Thanks to everyone who participated. We had a great time and hope you did too. And thanks to our friend Lori who gave us the frame!
