Our Holiday Open House is underway right now at Pastiche. For the biggest shopping day of the year we’re having a storewide sale, but you probably already knew that if you’re a reader of this blog or on our mailing list.

The holiday shopping season is in full swing now! It’s time to buy incredibly cool gifts for everyone on your list at Pastiche. Forget the big box stores and the boring department store gifts. Be the best Santa ever and shop at Pastiche. We’re even making it incredibly easy by having our biggest sale ever.
On November 28 we’ll be having a holiday open house and everything, yes everything will be on sale. Plus, use the coupon below and receive additional savings on items marked with the dots.
Ok, we’re not going to make you print out the coupon. There’s no bar code or coupon code you’ll have to have. You can just mention you saw the coupon on the blog and we’ll honor the discount.
And, if super savings aren’t enough, we’re extending out hours. Starting Friday, November 28 and running through December 24, we’re open from 10 am to 10 pm Monday through Saturday. Now you’ll have plenty of time to stop by, have some delicious Pas”tea”che and browse the store. We’ve got so many new and wonderful items it will take you hours to decide what to by for whom. If you’re doing a formal Thanksgiving dinner, we’ve got a suggestion to help your young guys get dressed for the occasion. Just in, we’ve added ties! That’s right, we’ve got the greatest neck ties for boys. These are made from retro vintage fabrics and they go on super easy since they have an elastic band. Just slip these over the boy’s head and he’ll look very chic and stylish without all the hassle of having him hold still to actually tie a neck tie.
There are several styles to choose from. The tones of the fabric make them easy to match with almost any shirt. They also look great on guys a bit older who do a bit of modification to the size of the elastic band!
Here’s a new product we just received. These are ceramic trays featuring designs by John Derian. Each tray features the Palais Royale as on Derian can portray.
These trays are perfect for setting on a coffee table, a dining table, or hanging on a wall. There are four different patterns and look incredible when grouped together. The trays are on $32 apiece so we don’t expect them to last very long.

Have you ever been confused on how to use color in your living spaces? What colors work together, which clash, how do you make a small room feel larger, or how do you add a bit of something to set a decor off?
On November 7, during Art Walk in downtown Springfield, we will be holding a Color Workshop at Pastiche. This is an ongoing workshop throughout the evening so there’s no time you have to be there. Carla will be on hand to explain the use of color and how to make the most out of your spaces.
Besides the workshop, there will be the usual fun and games we always do for Art Walk plus it will be a great evening to enjoy the hottest galleries around downtown.

We’re very excited about our latest addition to the children’s section at Pastiche. These are called Doodles at Dinner Placemats.
Each sheet has a different animal for kids to draw, with step by step guides to show how to draw the animal. There are 36 different doodles in each book.
Carla suggests having them laminated, which makes clean up from dinner or lunch much easier and then they can be used over and over again.
Remember, the holidays are coming up fast so it’s time to start thinking of gift lists. The Doodles at Dinner book would make the perfect gift for someone with several aspiring artists in the family!
