If you’re doing a formal Thanksgiving dinner, we’ve got a suggestion to help your young guys get dressed for the occasion. Just in, we’ve added ties! That’s right, we’ve got the greatest neck ties for boys. These are made from retro vintage fabrics and they go on super easy since they have an elastic band. Just slip these over the boy’s head and he’ll look very chic and stylish without all the hassle of having him hold still to actually tie a neck tie.

Here’s a new product we just received. These are ceramic trays featuring designs by John Derian. Each tray features the Palais Royale as on Derian can portray.
These trays are perfect for setting on a coffee table, a dining table, or hanging on a wall. There are four different patterns and look incredible when grouped together. The trays are on $32 apiece so we don’t expect them to last very long.

We’re very excited about our latest addition to the children’s section at Pastiche. These are called Doodles at Dinner Placemats.
Each sheet has a different animal for kids to draw, with step by step guides to show how to draw the animal. There are 36 different doodles in each book.
Carla suggests having them laminated, which makes clean up from dinner or lunch much easier and then they can be used over and over again.
Remember, the holidays are coming up fast so it’s time to start thinking of gift lists. The Doodles at Dinner book would make the perfect gift for someone with several aspiring artists in the family!
Now’s the perfect time to think about candles. As the days get shorter and colder, candles are perfect for adding a little brightness and warmth to your home. We’ve added a new line of organic soy candles, Beautea. These candles are made with 100% organic pure essential oils. The scents are all tea based, with other essences to provide an exquisite aroma.
We have three different candles to choose from. The candles come in a container made of recycled materials and are printed with vegetable-based inks.
We’ve added some new pillows to our already exciting line of pillows at Pastiche. As Carla states,
“They are super soft and fuzzy and the colors are to die for. They’re made in Nepal with cotton and brushed wool. And there are those new little pillows, which were made locally by, um, I’ll have to look it up. And then there are the ones woven out of silk scraps (we should be getting the pillow inserts for those in the next few days). Yay! One more reason to stay in bed!”

In case you haven’t been by Pastiche lately, our wonderful chair sculpture is no more. We did have a great name for the sculpture, “Beautiful Catastrophe” which was supplied Erica. Thanks Erica! We love the name.
But things change and now the season has inspired us to create a frightfully fun window display.
We’re in the Halloween spirit and have lots of fun things for the season. You really need to stop in and get the spook going with some of our awesomely fun things. Here’s a sample of what we have.

Wow, these are really neat. Hot from New York, we’ve got these great DIY duct tape wallet kits. Here’s a step by step guide to making the Pastiche version of the duct tape wallet.
First we open the package. Looks overwhelming….
After organizing and reading the very concise instructions, we were ready to begin with greater confidence.
Here’s the basic structure. So far so good and very simple to get here.
Next up was assembling all the pieces and parts. No problems here!
Then it was attaching everything to the body which requires no special skills or tools since it’s duct tape!
Things are looking good, but we have to use scissors. Oh no! But it turned out to be as simple as the rest of the process.
Right on! It’s done and we actually have a functioning wallet.
This only took two professional artists and an undergrad art student to assemble. Actually, the professionals did the hard part, the undergrad just did all the assembly. Here’s the final product, the Pastiche Duct Tape Wallet! (The design was done by the professionals.)
